- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments from vendors.
- Unpack and sort merchandise, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Organize and maintain stockroom inventory, ensuring all items are properly labeled and easily accessible.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overstock situations to management.
- Utilize inventory management software to track merchandise and maintain accurate records.
- Work with sales associates to fulfill customer requests and locate merchandise in stockroom.
- Ensure all merchandise is ticketed and priced correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, adhering to safety and security protocols.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining merchandise displays on the sales floor.
- Collaborate with other stockroom associates and store management to efficiently manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Perform regular stockroom audits to identify and address any discrepancies.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention measures.
- Continuously strive to improve stockroom operations and processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and addressing any customer concerns regarding merchandise.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
Experience In Retail: A Qualified Stockroom Operations Associate At Kohl's Should Have Experience Working In A Retail Setting, Preferably In A Stockroom Or Inventory Management Role. This Experience Will Ensure They Have A Good Understanding Of The Daily Operations And Processes Involved In Managing A Stockroom.
Strong Organizational Skills: This Position Requires The Ability To Keep Track Of A Large Amount Of Inventory, Including Receiving, Sorting, And Restocking Merchandise. A Qualified Candidate Should Have Strong Organizational Skills To Ensure The Stockroom Is Well-Maintained And Easily Accessible.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In Managing Inventory And Ensuring The Stockroom Is Properly Stocked. A Qualified Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure All Items Are Correctly Labeled, Counted, And Stored.
Physical Stamina: This Job Can Involve Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Merchandise, As Well As Standing For Long Periods. A Qualified Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
