  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the loss prevention department.
  2. Develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and fraud.
  3. Train and educate employees on proper security protocols and procedures.
  4. Monitor and analyze store activity to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  5. Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with store management and other departments to address any security concerns.
  7. Investigate and document any incidents of theft or fraud and work with authorities as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of security incidents and investigations.
  9. Lead a team of loss prevention associates and provide guidance and support.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in loss prevention and implement them as needed.
  11. Communicate and work closely with corporate loss prevention team to ensure consistency and alignment with company standards.
  12. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  13. Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations and standards.
  14. Monitor and maintain security equipment and systems to ensure functionality.
  15. Uphold the company's culture and values, promoting a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Experience In Loss Prevention: Candidates For A Loss Prevention Supervisor Position At Kohl's Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Systems, Including Cctv, Alarm Systems, And Access Control. They Should Also Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Proficiency In Risk Assessment And Investigation Techniques: A Loss Prevention Supervisor Should Be Able To Assess Potential Risks And Develop Strategies To Prevent Loss. They Should Also Have Strong Investigative Skills And Be Able To Gather Evidence In Case Of Theft Or Fraud.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Supervisor, The Candidate Should Have Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Loss Prevention Associates. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Other Departments And Store Management.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws: A Loss Prevention Supervisor Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Laws Related To Loss Prevention, Including Privacy Laws And Laws Governing Apprehension And Detention Of Suspected Thieves. They Should Also Ensure That All Loss Prevention Practices Are In Compliance With Company Policies And Procedures.
