- Monitor and patrol the store premises to prevent and detect potential security threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations of any suspected theft or fraudulent activities.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to loss prevention.
- Collaborate with store management to identify areas of vulnerability and implement strategies to reduce potential losses.
- Utilize advanced surveillance techniques and tools to monitor suspicious behavior and activity.
- Assist with training and educating store employees on loss prevention protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of incidents and investigations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, such as fires or medical emergencies.
- Stay updated on current industry trends and techniques to continually improve loss prevention strategies.
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement and other outside agencies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any security concerns or inquiries from customers.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with other departments, such as inventory and operations, to identify and resolve any potential security risks.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing the company in a positive manner.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by management.
Prior Experience In Security Or Loss Prevention: This Could Include Previous Work As A Security Guard, Loss Prevention Officer, Or Related Position.
Knowledge Of Theft Prevention Techniques: A Successful Candidate For A Loss Prevention Officer Job At Kohl's Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Methods For Preventing Theft, Such As Surveillance, Inventory Audits, And Customer Service Training.
Strong Communication And Observation Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Customers And Colleagues, As Well As The Ability To Observe And Identify Potential Security Threats, Is Crucial For This Role.
