We are currently looking for a Rail Fleet Analyst to join our growing team and help us optimize our rail transportation operations. As a Rail Fleet Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing our rail fleet to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods across our various businesses. We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for continuously improving processes.   1. Conduct regular analysis of our rail fleet performance to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  2. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and provide insights to management.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements in rail transportation operations.
  4. Monitor and manage rail fleet inventory levels to ensure optimal utilization and minimize downtime.
  5. Conduct market research and maintain knowledge of industry trends to inform decision-making.
  6. Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for rail fleet management.
  7. Coordinate with rail carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  8. Monitor and manage rail transportation budget, identifying areas for cost savings and making recommendations for budget optimization.
  9. Utilize data and analytics to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  10. Stay updated on regulations and compliance requirements related to rail transportation and ensure compliance within the organization.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
  12. Continuously seek out opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the rail transportation operations.
  13. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth operation of the rail fleet.
  14. Participate in meetings and provide input on strategic initiatives related to rail transportation.
  15. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with team members and contribute to a positive work culture within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Rail Transportation Or Logistics Analysis.

  • Proficient In Data Analysis And Reporting, With Advanced Knowledge Of Excel And Other Analytical Tools.

  • Strong Understanding Of Rail Industry Regulations, Policies, And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively Within A Team.
