The Paint Engineer, Body Exteriors is the primary technical resource for automotive exterior paint materials and paint shop processes. Develop performance specifications for automotive exterior paints, sealers and NVH foams. Create and manage EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials), including material selection and finish. Coordinate release of engineering changes, and appropriate documentation. Able to work within a cross-functional team to achieve goals. Able to coordinate and complete mock-up of parts for evaluation. Able to work closely with suppliers to achieve goals. Coordinate testing and validation activities and provide reports. Consult with colleagues and supervisor as required. Report and escalate major issues immediately to Supervisor.
