Develop and maintain a high-performance culture in the Team, resulting in continued success meeting functional KPIs and improved levels of customer service to internal and external customers. Take the lead in addressing (through the Global Sourcing Managers if needed) any emergency resourcing, production expediting, or additional actions needed to reduce or eliminate the risk of plant line stoppages or “car down at dealership” situation. Identify vendor opportunities/challenges and partner with program management, the engineering team or plant production control and logistics to achieve appropriate resolution. Report to management the measurable status of progress and corrective actions as it pertains to vehicle launch and supplier performance. Ensure performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked and reported on. Understand commodity part manufacturing and component cost elements and be able to work with GSMs and their suppliers to further cost down efforts.
