  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive recreation program that meets the needs and interests of the community.
  2. Create and manage a budget for the recreation department, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  3. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of recreation staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality programs and services.
  4. Collaborate with other city departments, community organizations, and local businesses to enhance and expand recreational opportunities for residents.
  5. Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to meet the changing needs and interests of the community.
  6. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in recreational programs and facilities.
  7. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program attendance, budget expenditures, and other relevant data.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with community members, seeking feedback and incorporating suggestions to improve programs and services.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in recreation management, incorporating new ideas and initiatives into the city's programs and services.
  10. Represent the city at community events and meetings, promoting the recreation department and building relationships with stakeholders.
  11. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all participants, regardless of age, ability, or background.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the city's recreation offerings, striving to make a positive impact on the community's overall well-being.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Recreation Programming Or Management.
