Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and professional Staff Nurse – Wound Care to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate should have a passion for providing quality care to patients and be motivated to help us deliver the best possible outcomes. The Staff Nurse – Wound Care will be responsible for providing comprehensive wound care services to patients within Kaiser Permanente’s acute care setting. To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Nursing, a valid nursing license, and at least two years of experience in wound care. You should also have excellent clinical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Additionally, the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, is essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive wound care services to patients in an acute care setting.
  2. Monitor and evaluate patient progress to ensure quality of care.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure successful outcomes.
  4. Create and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  5. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient care.
  8. Ensure compliance with best practice standards, policies, and procedures.
  9. Educate patients and families on wound care management and preventive measures.
  10. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License

  • Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills

  • Bsn Degree In Nursing

  • Current Cpr And Acls Certification

  • Previous Experience With Wound Care

  • Knowledge Of Wound Care Principles And Best Practices

  • Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively With Other Medical Staff

  • Knowledge Of Computer Systems And Electronic Medical Record Systems.
