- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the unit in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain an organized and efficient unit by managing patient records, charts, and other paperwork.
- Schedule appointments, procedures, and consultations for patients.
- Communicate with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential and secure.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Update and maintain patient databases and electronic medical records.
- Prepare and distribute patient information and educational materials.
- Liaise with other departments to coordinate patient transfers and discharges.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Monitor and order supplies for the unit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving unit operations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Provide administrative support to healthcare team members as needed.
- Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on unit policies and procedures.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the unit manager or supervisor.
