1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff to the unit in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
3. Assist in the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients as needed.
4. Maintain patient charts and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Monitor inventory and order supplies to ensure the unit has an adequate stock of necessary items.
6. Assist with scheduling appointments, procedures, and tests for patients.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates and address any concerns.
8. Maintain a clean and organized unit environment to promote a safe and comfortable atmosphere for patients and staff.
9. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of care for patients.
10. Adhere to all hospital and unit policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
11. Provide emotional support to patients and families during their stay on the unit.
12. Attend and participate in unit meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on policies, procedures, and medical advancements.
13. Remain knowledgeable about the services and resources available to patients and assist in connecting them with appropriate resources as needed.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by unit leadership.
