  • Assist thoracic surgeons in performing surgeries and procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Take patient histories and perform physical examinations to assess their overall health and identify any potential risks or complications.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and lab work, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Educate patients on their condition, treatment plan, and post-operative care instructions.
  • Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plan as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and radiologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient care.
  • Stay current on advancements in thoracic surgery techniques and procedures, and implement them as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice in healthcare.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in providing a safe and efficient healthcare environment for patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.

  • Current Certification As A Physician Assistant By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Physician Assistant In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In Thoracic Surgery.

  • Proficiency In Performing Procedures Such As Thoracentesis, Chest Tube Placement, And Central Line Insertion.

  • Strong Clinical Knowledge And Understanding Of Thoracic Anatomy, Physiology, And Diseases, As Well As Experience In Diagnosing And Managing Thoracic Conditions.
