  1. Perform mammography procedures according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  3. Conduct patient interviews to obtain medical history and explain the procedure.
  4. Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  5. Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain accurate records of radiation exposure.
  6. Review mammography images for quality and accuracy, and communicate any concerns to the radiologist.
  7. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results to patients.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices in mammography technology.
  10. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  11. Educate and prepare patients for mammography procedures, answering any questions or concerns.
  12. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients during the procedure.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  15. Attend required training and continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Mammography Technologist (Cmt) Credential From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Performing Mammography Procedures In A Clinical Setting

  • Knowledge Of Current Mammography Equipment And Techniques, Including Digital Mammography And 3D Tomosynthesis

  • Familiarity With Kaiser Permanente Policies And Procedures, As Well As State And Federal Regulations Related To Mammography

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
