Technologist, Central Sterile Processing

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Technologist to join the Central Sterile Processing team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player who is committed to helping us provide the highest quality of care to our members.Candidates must possess a certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM). Additionally, a minimum of three (3) years of experience in sterile processing and distribution in a health care setting is required. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail.We are seeking a Technologist who is passionate about their work and wants to make a positive contribution to the team. Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a high level of patient safety and service quality in accordance with Kaiser Permanente policies and standards.
2. Process, assemble, store, and distribute sterile supplies and equipment in accordance with CBSPD or IAHCSMM guidelines.
3. Ensure that all sterile supplies and equipment are properly labeled and stored in the appropriate areas.
4. Monitor the inventory of sterile supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
5. Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with health department regulations.
6. Document and report any irregularities related to the processing, assembling, storing, or distributing of sterile supplies and equipment.
7. Handle all requests for sterile supplies and equipment from other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Perform and document quality assurance checks on sterile supplies and equipment.
9. Participate in training and in-service activities to stay up to date on new developments and techniques related to sterile processing and distribution.
10. Provide assistance and support to other team members when needed.
