
Technician, Optical Laboratory
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Optical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. In this role, you will be responsible for providing quality optical services to our members, as well as assist our Optical Laboratory staff. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for helping people and a commitment to excellence.To be successful in this role, you should have a working knowledge of optical lab operations, excellent customer service skills, and experience with optical equipment. Additionally, you should possess the ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide quality optical services to members, including eye exams and fitting for glasses.
- Assist laboratory staff in the completion of optical tasks, such as cutting and grinding lenses and checking finished products for accuracy.
- Operate optical equipment such as edgers, polishers, and tracers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical lab.
- Process orders from customers in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot any issues with optical equipment and contact the manufacturer for necessary repairs as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any customer concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest optical trends and products.
- Maintain accurate records of optical services performed and orders processed.
- Monitor inventory levels and order new supplies when necessary.
