Surgical Technologist

In this role, you will play an integral part in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures, while adhering to established guidelines and protocols.The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a minimum of two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, and have a valid certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience in the OR setting, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and set up the operating room for surgical procedures in compliance with established guidelines and protocols.
2. Set up and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and supplies are accounted for and available for use during the procedure.
3. Assist the surgical team by handing instruments, supplies and equipment during the procedure.
4. Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of the patient throughout the procedure.
5. Monitor the patient's condition before, during and after the procedure, and report any changes to the surgeon.
6. Monitor and document the use of all supplies and instruments to ensure accurate inventory control.
7. Clean and sterilize all equipment according to established protocols.
8. Maintain a safe and clean environment in the operating room.
9. Stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including those of the NBSTSA.
