  1. Prepare and maintain operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterilized.
  2. Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, anticipating their needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.
  5. Follow strict safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  7. Continuously assess and improve surgical processes and procedures to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current surgical techniques and advancements in the field to provide the highest quality of care.
  9. Train and mentor new surgical technicians, as needed.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to address any concerns or questions.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to surgical care.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  13. Participate in on-call rotations and assist with emergency surgeries, as necessary.
  14. Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion towards patients and their families during all interactions.
  15. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technician Program Or Equivalent Education And Training.

  • Certification As A Surgical Technician From A Recognized Organization Such As The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technician In A Fast-Paced Operating Room Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Aseptic Techniques, Surgical Instrumentation, And Procedures.

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Members Of The Surgical Team To Ensure Safe And Efficient Patient Care.
