Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and proficient Supervisor to join the Central Sterile Processing team at Kaiser Permanente. The Supervisor will be a key leader in ensuring our facility’s success by ensuring timely and organized decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment. We are seeking an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with a passion for patient safety and quality assurance.The successful candidate will have at least five years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital or healthcare setting, and must have a current Central Service Technician certification (CRCST). The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the principles of aseptic technique, sterilization, and high-level disinfection, and will be familiar with relevant OSHA, JCAHO, and AAMI standards.We are looking for a Supervisor who is highly motivated and able to work collaboratively with other members of the Central Sterile Processing team. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing team ensuring quality assurance and patient safety standards are met
  2. Maintain accurate records and document all sterile processing activities
  3. Train and mentor new staff members on proper aseptic technique and sterilization procedures
  4. Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with OSHA, JCAHO, and AAMI standards
  5. Work collaboratively with other teams in the facility to ensure efficient workflow
  6. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Central Sterile Processing department
  7. Ensure all equipment is in proper working order and regularly inspected
  8. Manage inventory and supplies to ensure adequate stock of necessary materials
  9. Resolve any problems that arise in a timely and professional manner
