  1. Perform routine and specialized cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of medical equipment and instruments according to established policies and procedures.
  2. Inspect and assemble surgical instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all processed items.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment.
  5. Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines and regulations.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide timely and efficient processing of equipment and instruments.
  7. Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions or issues.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate the timely delivery of sterile equipment and instruments.
  11. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures, including but not limited to, HIPAA, OSHA, and departmental guidelines.
  12. Adhere to the organization's values of compassion, excellence, inclusion, integrity, and stewardship in all job duties.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all medical equipment and instruments.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • At Least Two Years Of Experience Working As A Sterile Processing Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Certification As A Sterile Processing Technician From An Accredited Institution, Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (Iahcsmm).

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques, Infection Control Protocols, And Healthcare Facility Standards And Regulations.

  • Familiarity With Medical Equipment And Instruments Used In Surgical And Diagnostic Procedures, And The Ability To Properly Clean, Assemble, And Package Them For Sterilization.

  • Excellent Communication And Organization Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.
