  • Properly clean, decontaminate, and sterilize all medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and industry standards
  • Inspect and assemble equipment and instruments to ensure they are in proper working condition and ready for use
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment needed for sterile processing
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve any issues with equipment or instruments
  • Follow all infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment in all sterile processing areas
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while handling and processing medical equipment and instruments
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all processed equipment and instruments
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes in sterilization techniques and equipment to ensure best practices are followed
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff by responding promptly to requests and inquiries related to sterile processing.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: Must Hold A Current Certified Sterile Processing Technician (Cspt) Certification From An Accredited Organization Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service And Material Management (Iahcsmm).

  • Experience: Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Sterile Processing Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: Thorough Understanding Of Proper Sterilization Techniques And Infection Control Protocols, Including Knowledge Of Different Types Of Sterilization Equipment And Methods.

  • Attention To Detail: Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures To Ensure The Safety And Effectiveness Of Sterilization Processes.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, To Effectively Interact With Other Healthcare Professionals And Staff To Ensure Efficient And Safe Processing Of Medical Instruments And Equipment.
