  4. Identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Certification As A Sterile Processing Technician From An Accredited Organization Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm).

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Sterilization Techniques And Methods, Including Steam Sterilization, Ethylene Oxide Sterilization, And Low-Temperature Sterilization.

  • Familiarity With Medical Instruments And Equipment: The Candidate Must Be Knowledgeable About Various Medical Instruments And Equipment Used In Hospitals And Healthcare Facilities, As Well As How To Properly Clean, Assemble, And Sterilize Them.

  • Attention To Detail: Working In A Sterile Environment Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Instruments And Equipment Are Properly Sterilized And Free Of Any Contaminants.

  • Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Setting To Ensure That All Instruments And Equipment Are Processed Efficiently And Accurately. This Includes Effective Communication With Other Healthcare Professionals And Following Established Protocols And Procedures.
