Job Qualifications
  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Certification As A Sterile Processing Technician (Cst) From An Accredited Institution, Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm).

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Sterilization Techniques, Including Steam, Gas, And Chemical Sterilization, As Well As Knowledge Of Best Practices For Instrument Decontamination And Cleaning.

  • Familiarity With Medical Equipment: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With A Wide Range Of Medical Equipment And Devices Used In Healthcare Settings, Including Surgical Instruments, Endoscopes, And Other Reusable Medical Equipment.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Sterile Processing Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure That All Instruments And Equipment Are Properly Cleaned, Sterilized, And Assembled For Patient Use. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures.

  • Communication And Teamwork: The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment. They Will Be Responsible For Working Closely With Nurses, Surgeons, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure That Sterile Instruments And Equipment Are Available For Patient Care.
