- Decontaminate and clean medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Assemble and inspect instruments and equipment to ensure proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Operate sterilization equipment and ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Accurately document and maintain records of equipment and instrument processing.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely availability of sterile equipment and supplies for patient care.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to reduce the risk of infection and maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to stay current on industry standards and best practices.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to appropriate personnel.

Certification From An Accredited Sterile Processing Program: Candidates Must Possess A Certification From An Accredited Sterile Processing Program, Such As The Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Certification From The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm).
Knowledge Of Sterile Processing Procedures And Equipment: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Sterile Processing Procedures And Equipment, Including Decontamination, Sterilization, And Packaging Techniques.
Familiarity With Infection Control And Safety Protocols: A Strong Understanding Of Infection Control And Safety Protocols Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Knowledgeable About Proper Handling And Disposal Of Biohazardous Materials And How To Maintain A Sterile Environment.
