Job Description

As a Staff RN in our Dialysis unit, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients with kidney disease. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual with a strong passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence. If you are a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with a background in dialysis, we invite you to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our patients.

  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients with kidney disease.
  2. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients on dialysis.
  3. Monitor and administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the medical team.
  5. Educate patients and their families on the dialysis process and self-care techniques.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  10. Serve as a patient advocate and ensure their needs and preferences are being met.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  12. Follow all policies and procedures of Kaiser Permanente and the Dialysis unit.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  16. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.
  17. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  18. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  19. Provide support and guidance to new staff members and students.
  20. Continuously evaluate and improve nursing practice to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Dialysis Nursing

  • Proficiency In Administering Dialysis Treatments And Managing Dialysis Equipment

  • Knowledge Of Renal Care And Treatment Protocols

  • Ability To Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Patient-Centered Care.
