We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join our team in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality care to our tiniest and most vulnerable patients.   1. Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  2. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' conditions, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and home care instructions.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control protocols.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  9. Participate in continuing education to stay updated on new procedures, technologies, and evidence-based practices in neonatal care.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive environment.
  11. Remain calm and focused in high-stress situations, and provide emotional support to patients and families.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  13. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients' rights and preferences are respected.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients and their families.
  15. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude towards coworkers, patients, and families at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Higher: A Staff Nurse In The Neo-Natal Icu At Kaiser Permanente Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing. This Ensures That The Nurse Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Clinical Skills.

  • Current Rn License: It Is Essential For A Staff Nurse In The Neo-Natal Icu To Hold A Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where They Will Be Working. This License Demonstrates That The Nurse Has Met The Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice As A Nurse.

  • Neonatal Intensive Care Certification: Kaiser Permanente May Require A Staff Nurse In The Neo-Natal Icu To Hold A Neonatal Intensive Care Certification (Nicc). This Certification Demonstrates Competency In Caring For Critically Ill Newborns And Infants In The Icu Setting.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neonatal Icu: Kaiser Permanente May Prefer A Staff Nurse With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Neonatal Icu Setting. This Experience Ensures That The Nurse Is Familiar With The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Caring For Newborns And Infants In Critical Care.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: A Staff Nurse In The Neo-Natal Icu At Kaiser Permanente Should Possess Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills. They Will Be Working Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team And Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate To Provide The Best Care For Their Patients. Additionally, Strong Critical Thinking Skills Are Necessary To Make Quick And Sound Decisions In Emergency Situations.
