  1. Provide compassionate care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery.
  2. Utilize strong clinical skills to assess and monitor the health status of patients.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate individuals.
  6. Educate patients and their families on prenatal, labor, and postpartum care.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  9. Utilize critical thinking skills to quickly and effectively respond to emergency situations.
  10. Act as an advocate for patients and ensure their needs are met.
  11. Continuously strive for excellence in providing high-quality care to patients.
  12. Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and workshops to maintain and improve knowledge and skills.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  14. Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  15. Assist with the orientation and training of new staff members.
  16. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  17. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  18. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
  19. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in labor and delivery care.
  20. Maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor during high-stress situations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Equivalent Education And Experience

  • Current And Active Rn Licensure In The State Of Practice

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Labor And Delivery Nursing

  • Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp)

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment
