Job Description

Welcome to Kaiser Permanente, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients. We are currently seeking a talented and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our Med/Tele team. This position is for 32 hours per week, with evening shifts. As a Staff Nurse II, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and ensuring their well-being. To be successful in this role, you must possess a current RN license and have at least 2 years of experience in Med/Tele. We are looking for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills.   1. Provide exceptional healthcare services to patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
  2. Work as a part of the Med/Tele team to deliver high-quality care to patients.
  3. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  4. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
  7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  8. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  9. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  10. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  11. Participate in ongoing staff development and training to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Keep up-to-date with current healthcare practices and procedures.
  13. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  14. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  15. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  16. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  17. Act as a positive role model and mentor for new staff members.
  18. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  19. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
  20. Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Kaiser Permanente.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Equivalent From An Accredited Nursing Program.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications From The American Heart Association.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Med/Tele Unit, With Strong Knowledge And Skills In Caring For Acutely Ill Patients.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Team-Oriented Environment.
