Sr Surgical Technician

The Senior Surgical Technician is expected to show a strong commitment to our mission of providing quality health care.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: an Associate Degree in Surgical Technology, at least three years of experience in a surgical setting, a valid surgical technologist certification, and a current CPR certification. The Senior Surgical Technician should be proficient in the use of specialized equipment and keen to learn new techniques. The ideal candidate will also have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities:

1. Assist surgical team in preparing for and executing surgical procedures.
2. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
3. Maintain sterile environment in the operating room.
4. Monitor and document patient vital signs during surgical procedures.
5. Set up the operating room for each procedure and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
6. Provide patient education prior to and following surgery.
7. Maintain equipment and instruments in a safe and sterile condition.
8. Assist in the post-operative care of the patient.
9. Provide emotional and physical support for patients.
10. Explain procedures, medications, and treatments to patients and their families.
11. Adhere to all applicable regulatory and legal standards.
