  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  3. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients' speech and language skills.
  4. Provide education and resources to patients, families, and caregivers on how to support and improve communication and swallowing abilities.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to develop a holistic treatment approach.
  6. Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  8. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice.
  9. Stay updated on current research and advancements in the field of speech therapy.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  11. Continuously assess and strive for improvement in patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  12. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Speech Therapist At Kaiser Permanente Should Hold A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc): The Candidate Must Possess A Ccc, Which Is A Nationally Recognized Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid And Current State License To Practice As A Speech Therapist In The State Where The Kaiser Permanente Facility Is Located.

  • Experience In An Inpatient Setting: It Is Preferred That The Candidate Has Previous Experience Working With Inpatients, As They Will Be Responsible For Treating Patients In A Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records: Kaiser Permanente Utilizes Electronic Medical Records, So The Candidate Should Have Experience With This System Or Be Willing To Undergo Training In Its Use.
