  1. Provide leadership and direction to the Specialty Unit team in delivering high-quality patient care.
  2. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Specialty Unit, including staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
  3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices for patient care.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for patients.
  5. Serve as a mentor and coach to nursing staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  6. Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  7. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and follow all established policies and procedures.
  10. Keep up-to-date with current trends and advancements in nursing practice and integrate them into daily care.
  11. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, advocating for the best possible outcomes.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.
  13. Assist in the recruitment and training of new nursing staff.
  14. Handle any issues or concerns that may arise in the Specialty Unit, working to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, upholding the values and mission of Kaiser Permanente at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn)

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Specialty Unit, Such As Icu Or Er

  • Previous Charge Nurse Or Leadership Experience

  • Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications
