Job Description

At Kaiser Permanente, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sonographer, Diagnostic Ultrasound to join our medical imaging team. As a Sonographer, Diagnostic Ultrasound, you will provide patient-centered and comprehensive ultrasound services for our members. You will work closely with a team of healthcare providers to ensure our members receive the highest quality of patient care.To be successful in this role, you must be a compassionate professional with strong diagnostic and technical skills. You must be able to make decisions and provide effective care to our members. We are looking for a Sonographer, Diagnostic Ultrasound, who is committed to excellence and outstanding patient care.In this position, you will be required to have a minimum of two years of experience performing ultrasound examinations in an acute care setting. You must also have an Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent, current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).We are committed to creating a supportive and collaborative work environment where you can utilize your expertise to the fullest. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform ultrasound examinations in an acute care setting with a high degree of accuracy.
  2. Utilize the latest ultrasound technology and techniques to provide comprehensive patient care.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  4. Maintain current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  5. Operate ultrasound equipment in accordance with safety requirements and regulations.
  6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of procedures and results.
  7. Provide patient-centered care, including answering questions and providing support to patients and families.
  8. Follow established protocols and procedures for patient care.
  9. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging techniques.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
