
Sonographer, Diagnostic Cardiac

- Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Set up and operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functioning for accurate results.
- Review patient medical history and symptoms to determine appropriate ultrasound procedure.
- Provide patient education and explain procedures to alleviate any concerns or questions.
- Position patients and adjust equipment settings to obtain optimal images.
- Monitor patient during procedures and make adjustments as needed for patient comfort and safety.
- Evaluate images and identify any abnormalities or discrepancies for further review.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding procedure results and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and participate in ongoing training and education.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients and their families.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
Strong Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology.
Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Cardiac Ultrasound Procedures In A Clinical Setting.
