- Assess and evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to help patients improve their physical and functional abilities.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and modifications to improve their daily living skills.
- Stay current with the latest advancements and research in the field of occupational therapy.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior occupational therapists and therapy assistants.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients and colleagues.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction by providing compassionate and quality care.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Kaiser Permanente in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As An Occupational Therapist, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role.
Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Institution.
Active State Licensure As An Occupational Therapist And Certification By The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).
Proven Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Treatment Plans For A Variety Of Patient Populations, Including Pediatric, Adult, And Geriatric.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Guidance And Mentorship To Junior Staff Members.
