- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide holistic care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all interventions and outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of occupational therapy and provide resources for continued support and self-care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and technologies in occupational therapy and incorporate them into practice.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for junior occupational therapists and provide guidance in complex cases.
- Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including patient charts, progress notes, and billing information.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy: A Senior Occupational Therapist At Kaiser Permanente Must Possess A Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Program.
State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid License To Practice Occupational Therapy In The State Where The Position Is Located.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience: Kaiser Permanente Requires Senior Occupational Therapists To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In The Field, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Leadership Skills: This Position May Involve Supervising And Mentoring Other Occupational Therapists, So Strong Leadership Skills And Experience In A Leadership Role Are Important Qualifications.
Specialization Or Advanced Certification: Kaiser Permanente May Require Candidates To Have A Specialization Or Advanced Certification In A Specific Area Of Occupational Therapy, Such As Hand Therapy, Geriatrics, Or Pediatrics.
