
Senior Legal Medical Malpractice
Kaiser Permanente is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Legal Medical Malpractice professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice, advocacy, and counsel to our administrative and medical staff on medical malpractice and related issues. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is able to provide sound legal advice in a timely and efficient manner.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, combined with at least five years of legal experience in medical malpractice and related areas. They must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and insurance requirements. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice, advocacy, and counsel to Kaiser Permanente administrative and medical staff on medical malpractice and related issues.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and insurance requirements.
- Negotiate settlements and evaluate legal risks associated with medical malpractice cases.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and appeals.
- Analyze and interpret statutes, court decisions, and regulations related to medical malpractice.
- Keep informed of changes in the legal and medical malpractice fields.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and provide updates to senior management on legal matters.
- Assist with the development of training materials and legal policies.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
