- Develop and maintain software asset management processes and procedures to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and optimize efficiency.
- Monitor and track software licenses and usage to identify potential cost savings and avoid non-compliance penalties.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment and consistency in software asset management practices.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of software assets to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline software asset management operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to software asset management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Train and educate end-users on proper software asset management practices and procedures.
- Lead and manage software asset management projects, including vendor negotiations and contract renewals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with software vendors to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
- Prepare and present reports on software asset management metrics and performance to management.
- Collaborate with IT security to ensure software compliance with organizational security policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior ITSM analysts and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with software asset management tools and technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies related to software asset management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of software assets and related processes.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to data privacy and security.
- Act as a subject matter expert for software asset management and provide guidance and support to other teams and departments as needed.
- Continuously monitor and analyze software asset management processes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of software license purchases and usage.
- Stay updated on licensing agreements and regulations to ensure compliance with all software vendors.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or Related Field.
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In It Service Management With A Focus On Software Asset Management.
Knowledge And Experience With Itil Framework And Best Practices.
Strong Understanding Of Software Licensing And Compliance Requirements.
Excellent Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Issues.
