Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for laboratory medicine and a commitment to helping us provide the highest standard of patient care. With advanced knowledge in clinical laboratory testing, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to our team.To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field, and be certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent. In addition, the candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of laboratory safety and quality assurance, as well as experience in laboratory management and oversight. The successful candidate will also be able to work collaboratively with other laboratory staff and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities:

• Perform complex clinical laboratory testing according to established laboratory protocols and procedures

• Analyze test results and determine accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits

• Evaluate and troubleshoot laboratory issues • Monitor laboratory operations and quality control • Maintain accurate laboratory records • Ensure laboratory compliance with applicable regulations and standards • Participate in laboratory team meetings and other related activities • Provide training and guidance to laboratory staff • Assist in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures • Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment • Manage laboratory workflow and ensure efficient laboratory operations
