  1. Review and analyze complex medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Identify and report any discrepancies or missing information in medical records.
  3. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and coding to accurately interpret medical records.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain additional information or clarification on medical records.
  5. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling medical records.
  6. Use critical thinking skills to assess the quality of patient care and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and completeness of medical records.
  8. Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to medical record documentation.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to ensure efficient and timely completion of medical record reviews.
  10. Utilize electronic health record systems to document and track medical record review findings.
  11. Provide support and guidance to other team members as needed.
  12. Prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  13. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  14. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medical record review.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Healthcare-Related Field Or Equivalent Experience

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Medical Record Review Or Healthcare Quality Improvement

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Coding Systems, And Regulatory Guidelines (E.g. Hipaa, Jcaho)
