Job Description

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary to join our team at Kaiser Permanente!In this role, you will be a vital part of the team providing exceptional care to our patients. You will evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with pulmonary diseases, and provide education to our patients and their families.To be successful in this role, you will need to have a certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and at least two years of experience working as a Respiratory Therapist. You should have a strong understanding of respiratory care techniques, medical equipment and be able to work independently.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping others and is looking for an opportunity to make a real impact on our patients’ lives. Responsibilities: • Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with pulmonary diseases. • Provide education to patients and their families. • Utilize respiratory care techniques and medical equipment to treat patients. • Work independently in accordance with established protocols. • Demonstrate excellent communication and clinical skills. • Participate in quality assurance initiatives. • Maintain patient records and prepare reports. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of respiratory therapy practices. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience With Electronic Medical Records Systems.

  • Bls/Cpr Certification

  • A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Respiratory Therapy

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credential

  • Current California State Respiratory Care Practitioner License

  • Knowledge Of Current Respiratory Care Principles

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology Related To Pulmonary Conditions

  • Knowledge Of Jcaho And Osha Standards
