  1. Conduct sleep assessments and provide treatment recommendations for patients with sleep disorders.
  2. Perform diagnostic tests such as polysomnography, titration studies, and pulmonary function tests.
  3. Educate patients on sleep hygiene and provide guidance on lifestyle changes to improve sleep quality.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans for patients.
  5. Monitor and adjust sleep therapy equipment for patients, including CPAP and BiPAP machines.
  6. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatments and interventions.
  7. Stay current on new developments and advancements in respiratory care and sleep medicine.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in implementing new processes and protocols.
  10. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  11. Provide support and guidance to fellow team members, including respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in regards to patient information.
  13. Continuously evaluate and assess patient outcomes, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  14. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely and compassionate manner.
  15. Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Care Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current State License As A Respiratory Care Practitioner.

  • Certification As A Sleep Specialist By The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Care Practitioner, Preferably With A Focus On Sleep Disorders.

  • Experience With Electronic Medical Records And Proficiency In Diagnostic And Therapeutic Equipment Related To Respiratory Care And Sleep Disorders.
