Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. This individual must be an experienced and certified respiratory care practitioner passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent bedside manner, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to our patients.Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited college or university, current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), current state licensure, and a minimum of one year of experience as a respiratory therapist. The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to staying current with best practices in respiratory care are essential.

Responsibilities of a Respiratory Care Practitioner:

  1. Provide patient-centered care, including assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients with respiratory disorders.
  2. Monitor patients’ respiratory status and implement appropriate interventions.
  3. Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  4. Educate patients and families about respiratory care and relevant treatments.
  5. Collaborate with other health care providers to ensure continuity of care.
  6. Follow established protocols and policies.
  7. Maintain patient records and medical documentation.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  9. Utilize appropriate safety practices and techniques.
  10. Remain current with best practices in respiratory care.

Job Qualifications
  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team

  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Care

  • Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner License

  • Minimum Of One Year Experience In An Acute Care Setting
