- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs on patients as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by following established protocols and best practices.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques and provide quality images for diagnosis.
- Accurately input and maintain patient information in electronic medical records.
- Monitor and assess images for quality and make adjustments as needed for optimal results.
- Educate patients about procedures, answer questions, and address concerns to maintain a positive patient experience.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in imaging technology and participate in training and development opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
- Adhere to department policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient workflow.
- Prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
State Licensure As A Radiologic Technologist.
Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology From An Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare System.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Radiology Equipment, Procedures, And Safety Protocols.
