- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, on patients according to physician orders and department protocols.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process, including positioning, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including troubleshooting any issues and reporting malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents as needed for imaging procedures, ensuring proper dosage and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including all images and related documentation, to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret imaging results, providing accurate and timely reports.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and changes in technology, ensuring the use of the most current and effective imaging techniques.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced technologists, including training and mentoring as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, promoting a positive and welcoming environment for patients and colleagues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Attend continuing education courses and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of radiology.
- Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and patient care standards.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.
Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting.
Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
State Licensure As A Radiologic Technologist.
