- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Utilize advanced technology and techniques to accurately deliver radiation doses to specific areas of the body.
- Monitor patient’s response to treatment and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as directed by physician.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of treatment plans and patient progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and physicists, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, possible side effects, and after-care instructions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Keep abreast of new developments and best practices in radiation therapy through ongoing education and training.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards patients, colleagues, and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing new treatment techniques.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
- Act as a resource and mentor for new team members and students.
- Continuously strive to meet and exceed established performance metrics and goals.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and educational programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Program.
Valid State License And Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Radiation Therapy.
Extensive Knowledge Of Various Radiation Therapy Techniques And Equipment.
Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team-Based Healthcare Environment.
