Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente.   8. Advocate for the needs of LGBTQ patients within the healthcare system and address any barriers to care.
  9. Provide crisis intervention and support for LGBTQ patients experiencing mental health emergencies.
  10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and any interventions.
  11. Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements in all aspects of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • A Doctoral Degree In Psychology: A Minimum Of A Doctoral Degree In Psychology, Such As A Ph.d. Or Psy.d., Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Thorough Understanding Of The Theories And Principles Of Psychology, As Well As The Necessary Clinical Training And Experience.

  • Specialization In Lgbtq Issues: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Specialization In Lgbtq Issues, With A Focus On Providing Mental Health Services To This Population. This Could Include Coursework, Training, And/Or Experience In Working With Lgbtq Individuals And Their Unique Psychological Needs.

  • Licensure: Candidates Must Be Licensed As A Psychologist In The State Where The Position Is Located. This Ensures That They Have Met The Necessary Educational And Training Requirements And Are Qualified To Provide Mental Health Services.

  • Experience With Evidence-Based Treatments: The Psychologist Should Have Experience Utilizing Evidence-Based Treatments For Lgbtq Individuals, Such As Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, And Group Therapy. This Knowledge And Experience Will Be Essential In Providing Effective And Culturally Competent Care To Patients.

  • Understanding Of Cultural Competence: A Strong Understanding Of Cultural Competence Is Crucial For Working With Lgbtq Individuals. This Includes An Awareness Of The Unique Challenges And Experiences Of This Population, As Well As A Commitment To Providing Culturally Sensitive And Affirming Care.
