
Physical Therapist- Outpatient Orthopedics

- Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist will be to provide top-quality care to patients in the Outpatient Orthopedics department. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing effective therapeutic interventions to aid in their physical recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: The Physical Therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care. This includes sharing patient progress, discussing treatment plans, and making recommendations for ongoing care.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments: The Physical Therapist will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and potential for recovery. These assessments will be used to determine appropriate treatment plans and track patient progress over time.
- Design and implement treatment plans: Based on patient evaluations, the Physical Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific needs and goals. This may involve a combination of exercises, stretches, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions to improve physical function and reduce pain.
- Monitor patient progress: The Physical Therapist will regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, making any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as needed. This includes tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall physical function, as well as addressing any setbacks or challenges that may arise.
- Educate patients and families: The Physical Therapist will also play a key role in educating patients and their families on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and other strategies for promoting long-term physical health. This may include providing home exercise programs or recommending lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate records: It is crucial for the Physical Therapist to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information. - Stay current with industry developments: To provide the best possible care,
Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Or Related Field, With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Outpatient Orthopedic Settings.
Current State Licensure As A Physical Therapist, And Certification By The American Physical Therapy Association.
Experience And Proficiency In Treating A Variety Of Orthopedic Conditions, Including Post-Surgical Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Injuries, And Chronic Pain.
Strong Assessment, Diagnostic, And Treatment Planning Skills, With Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices And Modalities.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Provide Excellent Patient Care In A Fast-Paced Setting.
