- Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients to determine their individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to provide high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Provide patient education on proper techniques and exercises to promote recovery and prevent future injuries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, as well as regulatory guidelines and best practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of exceptional care.
- Stay current on advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation and utilize new techniques and technology to improve patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to establish a trusting and collaborative relationship.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and third-party payers to obtain authorization for services.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, promoting their rights and ensuring their needs are met.
- Adhere to Kaiser Permanente's mission, values, and standards of behavior in all interactions.
- Seek opportunities for professional growth and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Minimum Of A Doctor Of Physical Therapy (Dpt) Degree From An Accredited Program
Current State License To Practice Physical Therapy
At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Outpatient Orthopedic Settings
Advanced Certification In Orthopedics (E.g. Ocs Or Scs) Preferred
Strong Knowledge And Experience In Manual Therapy, Therapeutic Exercise, And Evidence-Based Practice In Orthopedic Rehabilitation.
