
Phlebotomist
We’re looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join the team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Phlebotomist, you’ll be responsible for drawing blood from patients and donors, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and providing excellent customer service. To be successful in this role, you’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid state phlebotomy certification. You must also have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a hospital, laboratory, or other medical environment. You should be comfortable working with needles and blood, and must be able to provide accurate results in a timely manner. We’re looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to professionalism. This person should demonstrate a genuine desire to care for and serve patients. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, reliable, and able to maintain a calm and reassuring presence when working with patients.
Responsibilities:
-Drawing blood from patients and donors -Preparing specimens for laboratory testing -Providing excellent customer service -Maintaining a calm and reassuring presence when working with patients -Ensuring accurate results in a timely manner -Performing quality assurance checks -Maintaining patient confidentiality -Complying with safety and infection control protocols -Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation -Staying up-to-date with the latest phlebotomy techniques and technologies -Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and supplies
