Job Description

As a Phlebotomist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play an important role in providing compassionate patient care. We are looking for a professional with strong communication skills, a customer service-oriented attitude, and a commitment to excellence to join our team. To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid phlebotomy license, and at least one year of experience in a related role. Responsibilities:

  1. Draw blood from patients according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  2. Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
  3. Maintain patient information confidentially and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
  4. Assist physicians and other medical personnel in the collection and processing of clinical specimens.
  5. Ensure the quality and accuracy of collected specimens.
  6. Monitor inventory of supplies and order new supplies as necessary.
  7. Keep laboratory equipment clean and in working order.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare personnel.
  9. Follow all hospital safety protocols.
  10. Remain up-to-date on phlebotomy techniques and technology.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Excellent Interpersonal And Communication

  • Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program

  • Certification From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp)

  • Ability To Draw Blood From Both Pediatric And Adult Patients

  • Experience In A Hospital Or Clinical Laboratory Setting
