Responsibilities:
- Draw blood from patients according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient information confidentially and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Assist physicians and other medical personnel in the collection and processing of clinical specimens.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of collected specimens.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and order new supplies as necessary.
- Keep laboratory equipment clean and in working order.
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare personnel.
- Follow all hospital safety protocols.
- Remain up-to-date on phlebotomy techniques and technology.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication
Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program
Certification From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp)
Ability To Draw Blood From Both Pediatric And Adult Patients
