Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient to join our Kaiser Permanente team! As part of our health care organization, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and technical support in the outpatient pharmacy setting. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a pharmacy setting, possess great communication skills, and be knowledgeable of all related medication and pharmacy procedures. Responsibilities:

1. Ensure accurate and timely filling of prescriptions and other medication orders.
2. Maintain records of patient medication orders, prepare labels, and monitor inventory.

4. Place orders for medication and supplies as needed.
5. Communicate with physicians and other health care providers regarding medication orders.
6. Follow all laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations and medication dispensing.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and security procedures.
8. Provide excellent customer service, including answering phone calls and addressing customer inquiries.
9. Assist in training and orienting new pharmacy technicians.
10. Monitor and ensure accuracy of medication orders and provide timely feedback to other medical staff.
