- Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist healthcare professionals with procedures and treatments, such as administering medication, changing dressings, and collecting specimens.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests, and communicate any changes in their condition to the healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning, using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care and promote a positive patient experience.
- Attend training and education sessions to stay updated on best practices and procedures in patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies in patient care areas.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for improving patient care and processes.
- Adhere to all safety and emergency procedures, responding quickly and appropriately to any potential hazards or emergencies.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards patients, their families, and fellow healthcare team members at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Completion Of A Certified Patient Care Technician Training Program
Active Certification As A Patient Care Technician Through A Recognized Organization (E.g. Nha, Nccpt, Etc.)
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients
